"ŠPANČEVA" VINEYARD COTTAGE
This cottage from 1818 is considered one of the oldest and best-preserved brick houses in Slovenia, which ranks it among the pearls of the cultural and ethnological heritage of Slovenian viticulture. The partially brick cellar will captivate you with its homeliness, sunny location that offers exceptional views, and a vineyard where centuries-old vines thrive. The central place in the brick building belongs to a massive oak press from 1791 and a beautifully preserved farmhouse, which is still a temple of good will and joy.
MILLER'S VINEYARD COTTAGE
This is one of the oldest, most picturesque and most important wine-growing buildings in Slovenia. It is a unique example of this type of architecture from the Renaissance period of the first half of the 16th century. Its turbulent history is evidenced by the stories of lords who collected taxes in wine in it during feudal times, and later used the brick building as a prison and torture chamber. This is said to have angered the serfs so much that they broke the masonry out of anger. Its specialty is the frescoes on the facade and the stone window frames made from a single piece of stone.
BEDNIK'S VINEYARD COTTAGE
It is one of the oldest wine cellars in Slovenia that have been preserved in their original form. This is evidenced by the year of creation 1748, engraved on a beam in the central living room or house. It is decorated with several details that are the result of excellent carpentry and masonry work, which makes it one of our most important cultural monuments. The brick house is pushed into the bank, and it consists of a brick basement, on which rests a wooden residential part with a room for tenants and the owner's room or "salon" and a room with a press. A special feature of the building is the baroque windows with wrought iron bars.
